Lemon Pepper Alfredo

Ingredients

  • 1 box penne
  • 1/3 cup 2% milk
  • 1/2 stick of cold butter (cut into tbsp)
  • Lemon pepper to taste, at least 1 tsp.
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • Parmesan cheese 5oz container
  • 1/2 cup reserved pasta water (or more as needed)
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Put pasta on to boil
  2. Add milk to dutch over medium heat. Add lemon pepper to taste. Bring to simmer.
  3. Add butter 1 tbsp at a time while whisking to emulsify.
  4. Add sour cream and whisk.
  5. Once pasta is just shy of Al dente, add to sauce.
  6. Pour in parmesan cheese in 1/3s, stirring between. Add pasta water as needed
  7. Finish with lemon juice and stir.
  8. Serve with extra lemon pepper on top.
