Orange Chicken (Cauliflower)

Ingredients

Batter:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup corn starch
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 1/3 cup water
  • 1 bag frozen cauliflower or 1 head fresh

Sauce:

  • 2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 6 tsp. soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp. chilli garlic sauce
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 4 tsp. hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp. rice vinegar
  • 1/2 cup orange juice (or juice of 2 oranges)
  • dash of mushroom seasoning

Instructions

  1. Fry battered cauliflower.
  2. In wok, add 4 cloves of garlic and 1 tsp. of ginger. Fry until fragrant. Add sauce until thickened. Add cauliflower and toss to coat. Serve with rice
